Pitching Performance Lab

Free Pitching Assessment

One of our coaches watches the athlete throw, talks through their goals, and helps figure out the right path forward. It runs at the facility during one of our normal training blocks. No cost, and no commitment to sign up afterward.

No guessing

What you walk away with

A lot of lessons start with a coach watching a few throws and telling you what he thinks. We would rather not guess. Every free assessment is graded on the same sheet we use for our paying athletes, nothing held back, and the full report is yours to keep whether you train with us or not.

1

We grade the delivery, piece by piece

A coach scores 34 checkpoints across ten areas of the delivery, from how the athlete loads to how the arm slows down after release, each on a 1 to 5 scale. You can see exactly which parts are solid and which ones are costing velocity or putting stress on the arm.

2

We measure the ball, not just the motion

Six pitching tools are graded on the 20 to 80 scale scouts use: average velocity, top velocity, strikes, arsenal, spin and frame, each against the level the athlete plays. When the bullpen is on Trackman, the report adds the pitch data for every pitch type.

3

Three strengths, three fixes, in order

The report names three things the athlete already does well and the three things we would fix first, in the order we would train them, with a plain explanation of why each one matters. Then it lays out the next twelve months, ending with a re-assessment on the same 34 checkpoints so you can see what changed.
