A real pitching program for 8 to 12 year olds, built around how your athlete actually moves. It is not a lesson, and it is not a velocity chase.

Who PPL Youth is for
PPL Youth is our program for 8 to 12 year olds, which covers Little League, Pony and Cal Ripken. Your athlete does not need to be the best arm on the team, and does not need to be a pitcher yet. What they need is to want to get better and to show up consistently. That is the only thing we ask of a family at this age.
If your athlete is 13 but young for their age, or you are just not sure this is the right room yet, do not let the number decide it for you. Book the consult and we will tell you honestly where they fit right now, and what to do if this is not it.
How it works
The youth program was designed with Cory Midkiff, our physical therapist at Renewed Performance. What we ask an 8 to 12 year old body to do, and what we will not ask it to do yet, was set with him rather than borrowed from the high school program and made easier.
A physical therapist helped us decide what a body this age is ready for, so the work your athlete is given is appropriate for eight or ten or twelve rather than a scaled down version of what a high schooler does. Most places at this age never ask the question.
They get a plan built for their age and their body, not a drill list every kid gets handed. It lives in the app so you can see exactly what they are working on.
Coaches who give them a real adjustment and tell them why, in a room full of kids working toward the same thing.
The consult takes 15 minutes and costs nothing.

Velocity is the result of a body that moves well and a program an athlete actually follows. It is not something we chase by having a child throw as hard as they can and hoping the arm holds up. At 8 to 12 the job is a foundation that lasts, and everything else gets built on top of it later.
Worried about their arm? That is the first thing to bring up on the call.

Most families start at once a week, and that is genuinely enough to get a program going and to see the first changes. Twice a week is where those changes tend to stick, because your athlete gets a second crack at whatever a coach corrected on Monday while it is still fresh. If you are not sure which one your athlete is ready for, the consult is the fastest way to find out, and you can move between the two whenever you want.

There is no onboarding fee at this age. The $300 one-time onboarding starts at 13, and we tell you it is coming 60 days before the birthday so it is never a surprise.
Not sure which one fits? That is exactly what the consult is for.

PPL Youth is an in-person program. At this age the coaching has to happen in the room, so we do not run a remote version of it.
Who coaches them
Every location has a coordinator who owns the youth program there and knows every athlete on it by name. That is the person you meet on the consult, and the person who answers you when you have a question about your own kid rather than about the program.

PPL Youth is the first part of a program that runs all the way to professional baseball. At 13 your athlete moves onto the main floor with the high school and college arms, and everything we have already learned about their body and their delivery goes with them. Nothing resets.

Ages 8 to 12
A foundation. How the body moves, how they throw, and the habit of doing the work.

Ages 13 to pro
The main program. Trackman, Edgertronic, and the same coaches who have watched them since they were 10.
Two things change on the 13th birthday, and we would rather you heard them now than on the day. Pricing moves to the main program, which is $70 a week for once a week or $85 a week for unlimited. And the one-time $300 onboarding applies from 13, which covers the assessment and program build. We send you a note 60 days ahead so you can plan for it.

Eight is where we start, and the program is built for that age rather than borrowed from the older group. The second half of that question is the one we hear least out loud and think about most, and the answer is that at 8 to 12 almost nobody has proven anything yet. We take motivated, consistent kids at every level, so if your athlete wants to get better and will show up, they belong here. If your athlete is 13 but young for their age, book the consult anyway, and if we think something else would serve them better right now we will tell you that instead of selling you a membership.
Keeping arms healthy is the whole point, and at this age it is the entire job. The program was built with a physical therapist, so what we ask an 8 to 12 year old to do is set by what a body that age is actually ready for. We do not build velocity by having a child throw as hard as they can and hoping the arm holds up.
No. Plenty of kids this age play four positions, or just want to throw better and harder. Throwing well is the skill underneath all of it, and that is what we are building at this age.
We keep parents out of the training space on purpose. Kids focus better without a parent watching, and our coaches get to coach instead of splitting their attention. You will still see everything: every drill lives in the app, along with the film and the numbers.
$50 a week for once a week and $65 a week for twice a week. There is no onboarding fee at this age. Billing is weekly, there is a 12-week minimum, and there are no surprise charges.
Not a drop-in. Training at 8 to 12 is a membership, because at this age the value is in the program and the consistency rather than in one visit. We do run private lessons, $80 for 45 minutes, and that is a reasonable way to get eyes on your athlete before committing to anything. Bring it up on the consult and we will tell you honestly which one your athlete actually needs.
No long contract. Billing is weekly with a 12-week minimum, and that is a minimum rather than the length of the program. It gives us enough time to make real changes and for you to see them. After that you continue week to week.
There are no seasons or sign-up windows, so there is no date you have to wait for. What limits us is capacity, because every athlete here is on a program a coach builds and manages week to week. Ask us where we stand on space at your location right now.
Still have a question? Bring it to the consult and we will give you a straight answer, with no pressure.
